Summary:

The essence of the concepts of law and legislative systems, their correlation, as well as the current problems and tendencies of development of law and legislative systems in Ukraine are analyzed in the article. It is emphasized that the intensive development of modern social relations accordingly requires their effective and high-quality legal regulation. It preconditions the necessity to optimize the process of reforming law and legislative systems of Ukraine aimed at ensuring the implementation of the proclaimed principles of a state governed by the rule of law, in which a person, his/her rights and freedoms are of the highest social value.
